Courses Available at Life
Following are some of the adult courses we offer at Life Church. Additional

The Alpha Course
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed,
friendly setting. The Alpha course meets once per week for 12 weeks,
and includes one amazing weekend set. Each session, people enjoy
great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere
where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too
hostile…questions like−Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did
I come from? Where am I going?
Alpha is for anyone…anyone who thinks there may be more to life
than meets the eye. People attend from all backgrounds, religions,
and viewpoints. They come to investigate questions about the existence
of God, the purpose of life, the afterlife, the claims of Jesus and
more. Some people want to get beyond religion and find a relationship
with God that really changes life. Others come for the close, long-lasting
friendships that are built during the Alpha course. Many guests have
never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally
but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian
faith. Everyone is welcome. There is no charge (or offering) for
attending the Alpha course.
The Truth Project
In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic
that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only
9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. Because
of this, today′s believers live very similarly to non-believers.
A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend
our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to
wonder what life′s ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short,
losing our bearings as a people and a nation.
The Truth Project, one of the most ambitious and powerful projects
in the history of Focus on the Family, was produced to counter this
slide within the body of Christ. The Truth Project is a DVD-based
small group curriculum comprised of 13 one-hour lessons taught by
Dr. Del Tackett. This small group study is the starting point for
looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses
in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian
worldview in daily life. We believe this one project represents the
possibility for exponential change within the body of Christ, as
we expect that thousands will be transformed by this curriculum.
As it has been throughout history, God continues to call ordinary
people to make an eternal difference in our world.
Marriage on the Rock
Marriage doesn′t have to be full of frustration and disappointment,
you can have a passionate relationship that will stand the test of
time. From communication to money to sex, Marriage on the Rock clearly
deals with all the major issues a couple will encounter. Leading
marriage authority Jimmy Evans discusses practical real-life challenges
and offers easy to understand solutions even if you are the only
one willing to work on the relationship.
Whether you′ve been married for years or just preparing for the
journey, Marriage on the Rock is the essential series that will transform
your relationship. Marriage on the Rock can turn disillusioned, divorce-bound
marriages into satisfying dream relationships.
DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K)
DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside
you through one of life′s most difficult experiences. Don′t go
through separation or divorce alone. DivorceCare seminars and support
groups are led by people who understand what you are going through
and want to help. You′ll gain access to valuable DivorceCare resources
to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding
your life. There are thousands of DivorceCare divorce recovery support
groups meeting throughout the US, Canada and in other countries around
the world. We offer the 13-session course here at Life Church for
you to find help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce.
DC4K is a special group to help your children heal from the pain caused
by a separation or divorce. DC4K provides your children with a safe
and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings.
For 13 weeks your children become involved in a fun, caring group
. The weekly session topics help your children learn that God′s
love strengthens them and helps them turn their sadness to hope and
their anger to joy. Each session is filled with motivating and exciting
activities. Games, crafts, role playing, discussion times, journaling
and activity books help your children process the divorce and move
forward in their lives. The music CDs, snacks, read aloud stories,
exercises and Bible verses teach your children to relax and rest
secure in God′s love. The Kids Like Me and Stories from the Bible
video dramas present stories of children just like your children,
who are experiencing divorce-related problems and have found help
and encouragement. DC4K is a powerful ministry for kids 5−12 years
old.
Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University is a DVD based series produced by Dave
Ramsey. Classes meet for two hours each week for 13 weeks, during
which time the average family pays off $5300 in debt and saves $2700.
The first lesson is totally free! All you have to do is register
to attend. Your class coordinator will be available immediately after
the free lesson if you wish to purchase your family membership and
attend the full course. Family memberships usually cost around $100
